Christmas Decorations (Mom)

Image
Blogmas Day 13: Here is the second house of decorations I got to enjoy and help to hang up. My mom is a lover of lights so everything at Christmas is lit up. We always joke that you could land a plane with how bright her garden is at night. The tree holds a bauble for my grandad. In his memory, we hang this bauble to represent him and the love he had for Christmas as well. The tree is always decorated in white and blue and claret. The white and blue because he was a massive West Bromwich Albion fan and Claret to also go with the blue because my mom always used to go against him as she is an Aston Villa fan. I love the fact that he is always represented every Christmas. Here's how my mom's house got decorated... I love how simple and easy the house is decorated but how beautiful it looks.  What part is your favourite? Thank you  x

What Christmas means to me

Image
Blogmas Day 4: Hey guys, What does Christmas mean to you? To me, it means everything, every little detail that happens in the day is what makes the day special. It’s seeing everyone’s faces when they open the gifts you have brought them. It’s seeing the look on everyone’s faces when you open what you have been bought. The look of anticipation and hope and joy. It’s amazing. Every Christmas morning, we take it in turns to open presents at my house. So, you have to wait your turn. At first, I hated that but now I have grown up a little, I can understand why we do it like that. It allows us to appreciate what we have. The tidying up has never been nor ever will be my favourite part. To me it’s also about my family, getting to spend the day with them and getting to see their smiles and hear their laughs. That means so much to me, I love to know that they are happy and having a good day. This year it will be my nieces first Christmas so to see her face when she opens all ...

Bonfire Night

Image
Hi everyone, As I have probably said before Bonfire Night has got to be one of my favourites. A few years ago it used to be celebrated with my family. My cousins used to do all the fireworks stuff while everyone else sat and watched, they were mental when it came to fireworks and fires. They always knew how to keep the fire going and the perfect angle to point the fireworks at so you could see them clearly. They were amazing. Last year was my first Bonfire Night with Ant and his family. It is not as mental here as it is with my family, which makes me feel safer but just as awesome. The fireworks we got were incredible and are always so pretty and loud. This year I am with Ant and his family again, but it is a 1st bonfire night for our little niece. We are going to be buying some ground fireworks for her like the frogs, and fountains and Catherine Wheels, so she can experience it herself and see how awesome it is. She will be having hot dogs and roasted marshmallows, and I just can...

21st Birthday- How I Got Ready

Image
Hi, guys, it’s official since September 23rd, I am 21!! For this birthday, I had no idea what was happening, my boyfriend and his family met up with my family and spoke in secret around me for over a month trying to make the day special for me. I can say now that it has been the best birthday I have ever had. But before the day I spent some time getting myself ready so I knew I looked photo ready. I did my nails, hair, really took care of my skin, changed my diet, and chose a special outfit.  I did my nails like this because I wanted something different and special. I wanted them to be noticeable against my outfit as well as to match them. I used Rimmel London 60 second shine in 800 black out and Super gel by Kate in 012 Soul Session. For extra detailing, I also used Kiko Milano Smart fast dry nail lacquer in this beautiful copper colour. I prepped my hair the week before with Percy and Reed Wonder Overnight Recovery, this made my hair feel amazing it completel...

Living with the Boyfriend

Living with my boyfriend was an amazing idea and I was so happy I did it. Yes, granted I didn’t have much choice he lived closer to my job than I did so it seemed like a logical thing to do. But it was an amazing experience. The first week after I moved it was the most loved up to put it into context. We couldn’t stop smiling at each other or holding hands or cuddling when watching TV. None of that has changed even now, we are still the same when we see each other on the weekends when I’m home from UNI. Now we don’t argue, not like some couples do, we can’t sit there and shout at each other. I can’t shout at that face of his, it is just too cute. We do the awkward thing of the silent treatment and I don’t know why but it works for us. It allows us time to think and have a little time to ourselves even if we are lying in the bed together. And then one of us will cuddle up to the other and we will talk it out. I don’t know if that will change over the years of us being together or i...

University Life- Semester 1

This post might sound a little scary, but this is my experience and how I feel about university life. For some people, it’s a lot different, they find it easy and are loving it. And for others, they could find it a lot harder and decide they just can’t do it no matter how hard they try. Some could feel just like me. University isn’t a terrible place, you can make lifelong partners in crime and get a degree at the end, how crazy is that   J   but in all honesty this post isn’t to scare anyone, I just felt there should be something out there about how someone feels that isn’t finding it all rainbows and sunshine. Because if you look that is really all that’s out there. ------------------------------------------------------- I’m not the best person to be sharing my experience because it has been crazy. But I don’t think anyone has gone through university without thinking, “I just can’t do this”. I have thought it many of times, I still think it, but at the same time, I ...

Twenty Seventeen

Happy 2017 to you!!! (We are only 11 days in but it feels like a month has already past) For the start of a year you always hear people say, 'New Year New Me', and in some aspects, if they stick to it, it can be a good thing. But why does a new year have to result in you changing yourself? If you wanted to do that what was stopping you doing it on December 8th, or another random time in the year? I think a new year can welcome so many new things into this world, for me I welcomed my little Step-niece. She is the most adorable tiny human being ever and I love her so much.  So back to the point, I was making, I’ve done it. Even though I have just made a mockery out of it, I have done it. I’m going to make this year a good year for me. I want to start thinking of myself more. I want to get fit, as I have zero fitness, which is terrible for a dancer and I want to eat more healthily. Even though I am the biggest lover of all things chocolate. I have a diary, and i...
